The service

• SoilReport lets you look up the USDA soil survey information mapped at a property address. Free lookups show a preview; paid reports are downloadable PDFs that summarize the USDA-NRCS Soil Survey Geographic Database (SSURGO) records for that location.
• By using the site or buying a report, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use SoilReport.

Preliminary screening only

• Reports are for preliminary site screening and planning. They are not a geotechnical investigation, soil boring report, percolation test, environmental assessment, survey, or permit approval, and they are not professional engineering advice.
• SSURGO soil maps are regional surveys. Conditions at a specific spot can differ from the mapped soil, and fill, grading, utilities, drainage changes or past construction can alter them. Before you design foundations, septic systems, drainage or other work that depends on soil conditions, have a qualified geotechnical engineer or licensed professional evaluate the site.
• Whether a report is accepted for a permit or project is up to the permitting agency or the people you share it with.

Data sources and accuracy

• Soil information comes from USDA-NRCS Soil Data Access. Addresses are located with the US Census Bureau geocoder and OpenStreetMap Nominatim, and maps use OpenStreetMap data. We present this data as we receive it and don't guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free.
• If the map pin is in the wrong place, you can move it before you buy. Check the property location on the preview before purchasing.

Orders and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout and are charged once per report; there are no subscriptions. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your card number.
• You'll receive a receipt from Stripe and an email with your report. Keep your order reference (it starts with SR-) for any questions.

Delivery

• Your PDF is available to download as soon as payment completes, and a copy is emailed to the address you enter at checkout. Download links stay active for 7 days; if yours expires, contact us and we'll send a new one.

Refunds

• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Using your report

• You may use a report for your own project and share it with your clients, contractors, engineers, lenders or permitting agencies.
• You may not resell reports, republish them in bulk, or use SoilReport to build a competing data product.

Acceptable use

• Don't scrape the site, run automated or bulk lookups, interfere with its operation, or try to get paid reports without paying. We may limit or block use that looks abusive.

Disclaimer of warranties

• SoilReport and its reports are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

• To the extent the law allows, IrieWorld, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions made or costs incurred in reliance on a report. Our total liability for any claim related to a report is limited to the amount you paid for that report.

Changes

• We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the terms in effect when you buy a report apply to that purchase.

Governing law

• These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA.
